Definitions

"Registered users" means individuals who have purchased a subscription to access the full site, and colleagues working with them who are included in the type of subscription which has been purchased (Pharmacy staff, ward nurses, doctors, etc, according to the type of subscription).

"Guests" means individuals accessing the free-to-view front-end of the site.

Description of, or reference to, a product or publication does not imply endorsement of that product or publication. This site is intended for use by licensed medical professionals and expert patients/carers. Accounts and passwords

Registered users are responsible for keeping any user identification code or password confidential within the terms of the license to access which you have purchased. We have the right to disable any user identification code or password at any time if in our opinion you have failed to comply with these terms and conditions.

Access

On receipt of an approved application and subscription fee, we will provide a user identification and/or password, and grant a license allowing access to the full site. The subscriber is responsible for ensuring the security of such user identifications/passwords, and for ensuring that only the relevant groups for whom the license has been purchased, have access to the site.

Neither the subscriber nor any registered user shall claim ownership of the licensed material, nor make any commercial use of the licensed material.

Downloading, copying and printing

Downloading to screen, printing and saving of small proportions of the licensed material for personal use, for individual patient medical records, or for the purposes of answering official Medicines Information Department enquiries is permissible. Registered users may use small proportions of the licensed material in the preparation of educational/training materials for healthcare professionals, healthcare students or carers. Any such materials must carry acknowledgement of the source, title, author and publisher. Users creating such materials must be aware that the licensed material is subject to continual updating, and are themselves responsible for ensuring that the materials they produce are also updated accordingly.

Neither registered users nor guests may systematically make print or electronic copies of multiple extracts of the licensed material except as explicitly permitted in the paragraph above.

Links

You may use shortcuts or links to provide access to our site for users in your workplace who are using the site within the terms of a license you have purchased, but you must link to the front-end of the site, and not bypass the disclaimers and information pages. You must not use a shortcut or link which suggests a form of association, approval or endorsement on our part, unless we have expressly agreed to this in writing.

Termination of contract

We may, if we become aware of unauthorised use of the licensed material, terminate access to the site to any or all parties involved.

We may terminate this license at the end of the license period without contacting the subscriber. The subscriber is responsible for applying for continued access.

Registered users may terminate their contract with us at any time, although we shall not be liable to return any part of the subscription fee.
