Please read the following terms and conditions, which relate to the use of our website. By using our website you are agreeing to these terms and conditions, whether as a guest or as a registered user. By using our site you are indicating that you accept these terms of use, and that you agree to abide by them. From time to time we may change these terms and conditions, and will post such changes on this website.
If you have purchased a subscription to access this website, you are also required to follow the terms and conditions for registered users (see below).

The content, layout, design, data and graphics on this website are protected by UK and international intellectual property laws, and are owned by Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board (East). Unless expressly permitted in writing in a license agreement, no part of this website may be reproduced, copied or stored in any medium (e.g. electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, broadcasting).
You may not create any derivative work or make any other adaptation without our prior written consent. You must not modify copies you have displayed or printed in any way, and any permitted use of our material is subject to ensuring that our copyright notices appear as they do on all copies online, and customary bibliographic citations including author attribution, date, title and the relevant URL are included. All rights not expressly granted in the terms of your license agreement and these terms and conditions, are reserved.
Access to the site
We will try to ensure that website availability is uninterrupted, however we cannot guarantee that your access will not be suspended or restricted from time to time to allow for repairs, maintenance, introduction of new services, or in the event of suspicion of unauthorised use of the site.
Conditions for registered users
Definitions
"Registered users" means individuals who have purchased a subscription to access the full site, and colleagues working with them who are included in the type of subscription which has been purchased (Pharmacy staff, ward nurses, doctors, etc, according to the type of subscription).
"Guests" means individuals accessing the free-to-view front-end of the site.

Description of, or reference to, a product or publication does not imply endorsement of that product or publication.
This site is intended for use by licensed medical professionals and expert patients/carers. You are responsible for your decisions on diagnosis, treatment and follow up for a patient, and for choosing or not choosing specific treatments. This site does not endorse specific drugs, diagnose patients, or recommend therapy. Users should use their professional judgement in interpreting information on this site for use on individual patients, which is done at their own risk. Users should ensure that they are qualified and competent to consult, treat, or prescribe at the point of care.
Users should be aware that the field of medicines management in patients with enteral feeding tubes and/or swallowing problems is mostly anecdotal. The information provided on this site is often anecdotal in nature, and represents a collation of the available information on the subject, not an authorisation to administer medication.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board (East) will not be liable for any liability, loss, cost, expense, claim or proceedings under statute or at common law arising out of registers users' breach of statutory or common law duty, or negligence in connection with their use of the guidance provided on this site, their employees or any agents.
Accounts and passwords
Registered users are responsible for keeping any user identification code or password confidential within the terms of the license to access which you have purchased. We have the right to disable any user identification code or password at any time if in our opinion you have failed to comply with these terms and conditions.
Access
On receipt of an approved application and subscription fee, we will provide a user identification and/or password, and grant a license allowing access to the full site. The subscriber is responsible for ensuring the security of such user identifications/passwords, and for ensuring that only the relevant groups for whom the license has been purchased, have access to the site.
Neither the subscriber nor any registered user shall claim ownership of the licensed material, nor make any commercial use of the licensed material.
Downloading, copying and printing
Downloading to screen, printing and saving of small proportions of the licensed material for personal use, for individual patient medical records, or for the purposes of answering official Medicines Information Department enquiries is permissible. Registered users may use small proportions of the licensed material in the preparation of educational/training materials for healthcare professionals, healthcare students or carers. Any such materials must carry acknowledgement of the source, title, author and publisher. Users creating such materials must be aware that the licensed material is subject to continual updating, and are themselves responsible for ensuring that the materials they produce are also updated accordingly.
Neither registered users nor guests may systematically make print or electronic copies of multiple extracts of the licensed material except as explicitly permitted in the paragraph above.
Links
You may use shortcuts or links to provide access to our site for users in your workplace who are using the site within the terms of a license you have purchased, but you must link to the front-end of the site, and not bypass the disclaimers and information pages. You must not use a shortcut or link which suggests a form of association, approval or endorsement on our part, unless we have expressly agreed to this in writing.
Termination of contract
We may, if we become aware of unauthorised use of the licensed material, terminate access to the site to any or all parties involved.
We may terminate this license at the end of the license period without contacting the subscriber. The subscriber is responsible for applying for continued access.
Registered users may terminate their contract with us at any time, although we shall not be liable to return any part of the subscription fee.
