New features in this edition

Welcome to the online edition of 'The NEWT Guidelines for administration of medication to patients with enteral feeding tubes or swallowing difficulties.' (previously the 'Protocol for Administration of Medication via Enteral Feeding Tubes.')

This site is the result of continued work by the staff of the Pharmacy Department of Wrexham Maelor Hospital, Betsi Cadwaladr University Local Health Board, and the suggestions of the many users of the guidelines. It started out as an electronic version of the 2nd edition book, but has now developed from the responses of users, with the addition of prescribing guidance and a re-design to facilitate navigation.
