2nd choice - The injection can be diluted 1:4 in orange juice for enteral administration.237 It has a bitter taste.40,152 Orange or blackcurrant syrup can also be used to dilute the injection solution.152
Feed guidance
Enteral feeds should be stopped prior to enteral administration of acetylcysteine, and restarted afterwards.6
